The School
The American Community School (ACS) is an independent, co-educational day school offering a college preparatory instructional program leading to an American high school diploma. The school offers educational programs from pre-kindergarten through grade twelve. Founded in 1955, ACS serves American and expatriate students from the business and diplomatic communities, as well as host country nationals. The school is housed in a modern plant on approximately nine acres of land in west Amman. Facilities include thirty-three classrooms, three science laboratories, two computer laboratories, one library, a sports and fine arts center, two playing fields, two tennis courts, and facilities for art and music education.

Faculty
The faculty is composed of sixty five members, all of whom have appropriate certification.
Accreditation & Memberships
ACS is fully accredited K-12 by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member in good standing of NESA, the Near East South Asia Association of Overseas Schools.
