Application Instructions
Thank you for your interest in the American Community School. We are pleased that you have chosen to consider ACS for your child's future.
Application Procedure
In order to consider the Applicant's file as ready for review, the application form must be completely filled and all requested information and supporting documents must be submitted. Any missing information or documents will delay the review of the Applicant's file and therefore parents are strongly encouraged to ensure the application is complete.
Please note that you are only requested to submit copies of school records and test scores with the application form. Original copies must be submitted upon acceptance to ACS.
All documents submitted within the application form will become the property of ACS Amman.
- Applicants must fill and complete one application form per student.
- Submit supporting and requested documents, officially translated into English if documents are in other languages.
- Students may be expected to sit for an admissions test at the school's discretion.
- The appropriate Principal may require an interview with the student. Usually the interview can be conducted on the same day s/he sits for the admissions test. Parents must be present for the interview.
- The Principal will review the application and results of admissions test (if applicable) and will make their decision regarding your child's status at ACS.
Applicants for the fall semester will be informed of the decision in April. Other admission dates will be notified within one week from submitting the complete application.
Accepted Students
Due to limited space you must pay your registration fee within one week of receipt of acceptance notice and prior to your child attending school to secure their seat. Please contact the Business Office at businessoffice@acsamman.edu.jo to arrange for your non-refundable registration fee payment. The remaining fees must be paid no later than the student's first day of school. Please read the Payment Policy for payment terms and options.
Accepted Students on Waiting List
It is possible that several of our grades may be full. In such cases, we may be able to offer admission to a student, but that student will not be able to attend ACS until there is an opening in the class. In the meantime, the student will be placed on a waiting list for the next available opening.
In order to secure a seat on the waiting list, accepted applicants must pay the registration fee within one week of receipt of acceptance notice. Please contact the Business Office at businessoffice@acsamman.edu.jo to arrange for your refundable registration fee payment.
