Grade 2 Supply List
Every student is required to bring a WATER BOTTLE (with name) and a BACKPACK (with name) large enough to fit a take-home folder and a LUNCH BOX.
Parents will label each item and cover consumable paper items with contact paper:
- 3 dozen black pencils # 2 (for daily use during the entire school year if they use them and sharpen them in a responsible manner)
- 1 small plastic pencil sharpeners
- 1 small cloth/soft plastic pencil case
- 4 heavy duty erasers
- 1 box colored pencils (12 colors or more)
- 1 package of wide colored markers (basic colors or more)
- 1 package of narrow tip colored markers (basic colors or more)
- 4 narrow tip black markers (to outline art projects, book titles,etc.. " black sharpies")
- 1 box of Crayola 32 color crayons
- 6 blue ball point pens for student corrections (e.g. blue bic pens)
- 6 large glue Elmer sticks
- 1 small bottle Elmer's glue
- 2 black "composition book" 100 pages homework notebooks (one for each semester)
- 2 black "composition notebooks" 100 pages, (reading/writing class journals)
- 4 two-pocket heavy paper folders (red, yellow, and blue}
- 1 pair of scissors (blunt edge appropriate for an elementary child)
- 1 wooden or rigid plastic ruler with centimeters on one side and inches on the other side
- Enough clear contact paper for parents to cover consumable student workbooks, notebooks, and journals to ensure second grade maximum use.
