Grade 5 Supply List
Every student is required to bring a WATER BOTTLE (with name) and a BACKPACK (with name) large enough to fit a take-home folder and a LUNCH BOX.
- 2 composition notebooks (must be at least 7"x9") labeled: Social Studies, Science.
- 3 spiral notebooks must be full sized 8 1/2"x11"at least 100 pages labeled: Writer's Notebook, Reading, Math.
- 2 dozen (# 2 good quality) pencils with eraser tip
- 2 Green and 2 Red ball point or gel ink pens
- 1 yellow highlighter
- 2 erasers
- 1 pair scissors (STRONG, pointed end, steel cutting blades, NOT primary type scissors, larger size to accommodate growing hands)
- 1 box colored pencils (at least 20 count)
- 1 package thin colored markers
- 1 package thick colored markers
- 1 good quality enclosed pencil sharpener (Steadtler or Maped)
- 2 glue sticks
- 1 white liquid school glue (4oz)
- 1 package lined notebook paper
- A compass and small lear protractor
- 2 extra fine tip black SHARPIE permanent markers
- 1 long 12" ruler (with both and inches)
- folder for Homework (durable strong plastic that will last)
- 2 plain solid color 2- pocket folders for writing folder and science/ social studies
- a 2 pocket folder (whatever picture or design) for projects/work in progress
- White out
Parents: please note that these supplies will be kept here at the school. In order to establish good homework habits, please have supply of pencils, an eraser, ruler, and colored pencils at home also.
Establishing a quiet place at a desk at home stocked with these necessary supplies will prove beneficial to your child's organization, motivation, and ultimately their learning.
