Supply Lists

All Middle School students will be provided with a locker and lock for their books, and another locker and lock in the change rooms for their PE attire.

All Middle School students are to bring the following supplies for all classes:

  • USB 256 or 512 MB Memory Stick
  • Backpack with name in it
  • Water bottle with name on it
  • pair of scissors
  • pens (red, blue, black)
  • pencils
  • erasers
  • package of markers
  • pencil sharpener
  • small box of colored pencils
  • highlighters
  • glue or glue stick
  • pencil case that holds supplies
  • ruler with inches and centimeters
  • paper (see below)
  • notebooks or folders to organize each subject (see subject specific notes below)

Language Arts

  • One package of 3 hole punched-college ruled loose leaf paper for binder
  • At least 4 books (novels) for optional reading
  • A three subject notebook with sections for:
    • Reading/Writing
    • Notes
    • Vocabulary

Social Studies

  • 3-ring binder with loose leaf paper or spiral notebook
  • Colored pencils, crayons to stay in the classroom

Science

  • folder for handouts
  • set of drawing tools -- protractor, ruler, compass (see math)
  • Calculator (does not have to be scientific)
  • Spiral bound notebooks - one per quarter on average; or
  • 3-ring binder with loose-leaf Paper

Mathematics

  • Graph Paper notebook (optional but recommended)
  • Spiral bound notebooks - one per quarter on average; or
  • 3-ring binder with loose-leaf Paper
  • Set of drawing tools: Protractor, ruler, compass (see science)
  • Calculator (7th and 8th grade will need a scientific calculator)
  • Folder

Arabic

  • 2 copybooks, right to left (single line)
  • 1 folder with pockets

Band

  • Notebook
  • Folder
  • Binder

French

  • French-English dictionary
  • 2 large spiral notebooks (for taking notes in class)
  • A folder for handouts and work sheets
  • Loose paper for homework assignments

Spanish

  • Thick four - section spiral notebook  (only for Spanish)
  • 1 hard cover folder with inside pockets to save portfolio

Physical Education (Gym lock is provided)

Proper attire is as follows:

  • Athletic shoes & socks
  • T-shirt and/or sweat-shirt suitable for play
  • Sports shorts or sweat pants

Art

  • 1 basic paper pocket folder (horizontal pockets).

The following art kit remains in class and may not be removed for use in other classes:

  • Zipper-pencil case
  • 1 self-contained pencil sharpener (one that holds shavings)
  • 1 regular black ball-point pen
  • 1 ultra-fine point permanent black marker or rapidograph
  • 3 soft lead pencils (2B for example)
  • 3 hard lead pencils (such as 2H or 4H)
  • 2-3 erasers
