The Covid-19 pandemic has made us all realize how precious and valuable access to the arts is. Imagine being quarantined with no Netflix to watch, or no Spotify to stream, or no sketchbooks to doodle away your thoughts.
In design tech class, MS student Luca made a really cool Rube Goldberg machine.
This is a small selection of the virtual artwork MS students have been working on. Please tune in to our virtual exhibition on May 17th to see the amazing work they have produced in both 'schools'.
As part of their unit of study "Hobbies and Favorite Things", Middle School Arabic students at level B, created a dialogue about their hobbies and favorites showcasing Arabic vocabulary and how to write questions and answers they learned throughout the unit.

Madeline (7th grade) and Gus (10th grade) had an online zoom reunion with their creative writing summer camp. Afterwards, they decided to channel their free time and creativity into writing a short story (Madeline) and poetry (Gus) about this time period for a new literary anthology that will come featuring exclusively pieces about COVID-19 and Quarantine. They also made a movie about lockdown. Here are two stills from the movie.
