Last school year, ACS added "compassion" to its Mission Statement:
"ACS inspires individuals to become self-motivated learners and compassionate citizens who demonstrate respect, act with integrity, and seek intellectual growth in a culture of high expectations."
What does compassion look like?
To help us institutionalize compassion at ACS, we have dedicated the week of November 19-22 to be Compassion Week.
We officially launched Compassion Week on Sunday November 19th, with an all school event on the field where we welcomed parents help kick off this week where we gathered to share what compassion means to us.
We will be focusing on how we can create a more compassionate community. Each school division has a week of activities and events to institutionalize this concept.
We are also excited about once again hosting the Compassion Summit at ACS from March 22 - 24, 2018.
