On May 15, 2017, our Board of Trustees sent this letter to our community:
Dear ACS Community,
Today, 44 young men and women will celebrate a great milestone by walking across the ancient stage in Jerash to receive their ACS high school diplomas. The diploma is not only an affirmation of their hard work, but also that of the dedicated energies of the school, working in partnership with the parents, to support student success.
We, the Board of Trustees, want to acknowledge and congratulate the graduates as they make their way into the world, and we would like to give our sincere appreciation to the administration and teachers for all they do to make ACS the school that it is.The foundation for our students’ success is the partnership between students, parents, teachers, and staff at ACS. A culture of collaboration, trust, mutual respect, and open communication is essential to maintaining the kind of community that draws families to ACS.
These ACS graduates have reaped the benefit of the accomplishments that ACS has made as an educational institution and as a community. These accomplishments are built upon the vision of our current administration – who focus not on who students are today but who they may become, the commitment of our teachers – who give of their time and energy every day, and the hard work of our children – who are the prime shapers of our ACS community.
Thanks to the thoughtful leadership of the Superintendent and intentional learning environment he and his team have created, ACS is a dynamic, thriving, creative culture in which these graduates have thrived has helped bring you to the stage this evening.
In short, a team of committed, dedicated, visionary people is proud to see our graduates receive their diplomas today and begin a new chapter in their lives. Congratulations to our graduates, their families, and to the educators and staff at ACS on this special day.
Onto new adventures!
Board of Trustees
