iPad Program

We use technology to increase skills and enhance student learning across all skills and subject areas. The iPad program was launched in 2012 with students in grades 4 and 5 each sharing a cart of 24 iPads. We have since expanded; we have a 1:1 iPad program for grades 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. At the kindergarten level, the three classes share a set of 24 iPads. Our iPad program allows for student centered learning, which empowers students to use technology to explore, create and innovate. Students are provided access to technology not only in the classrooms, but also in the Learning Commons and Computer Labs for educational purposes. Students must follow the established guidelines for responsible use of technology in order to maintain the privilege of access to technology. Students are expected to treat school property with respect and care. This is to ensure that the devices function most effectively and efficiently as well as remain dependable and reliable. Each student is required to sign a Responsible Use Policy. We have one policy for students in grades KG - 2 and another one for students in grades 3 - 5.
