HS Counseling

Our role as High School counselors is to bring out the best in our students. We coach them and empower them to become self-advocates so they can grow to trust their judgments and decisions. In HS, students go through natural stages of development to discover who they are.  With the support of their counselors, students are inspired to make decisions about their academics, their social life and emotional wellness.

We train our students to live in the present and to enjoy every bit of their HS years.  These years are fundamental to their personal, social, and academic development.  In a safe and caring environment, our students learn to explore their HS life through their involvement in community service, extra-curricular activities, passion projects and many student driven initiatives.  We encourage them to lead balanced lives and to reach for fulfillment in whatever they get involved in.

Through our HS Counseling Cohort Program, our comprehensive 4-year program is based on the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) curriculum. The NACAC  guides students through the stages of HS development. Our goal is for our students to graduate from ACS with the skills, attitudes and knowledge to make responsible & respectful decisions that contribute to living a fulfilled life while making positive contributions to the world.
