Technology Integration

We use technology to increase skills and enhance student learning across all skills and subject areas. The iPad program was launched in 2012 with students in grades 4 and 5 each sharing a cart of 24 iPads. We have since expanded; we have a 1:1 iPad program for grades EYP, KG, 1, and 2, and a 1:1 Chromebook program for grades 4 and 5. Our iPad/Chromebook programs allow for student-centered learning, which empowers students to use technology to explore, create, and innovate. Students are provided access to technology not only in the classrooms, but also in the Learning Commons. Students must follow the established guidelines for responsible use of technology in order to maintain the privilege of access to technology. Students are expected to treat school property with respect and care. This is to ensure that the devices function most effectively and efficiently as well as remain dependable and reliable. Each student is required to sign a Technology Responsible Use Policy. Parents can access the Responsible Use Policy and form by logging into your PowerSchool account, clicking on the 'Forms' section, and scrolling to the Technology Use Policy. Parents will need to complete one form per student in grades K - 5.
