We offer a diverse array of activities tailored to different age groups, enabling students to explore their interests, develop essential life skills, and foster a sense of balance in their lives.
Our co-curricular program is designed to enhance students' overall development and contribute to their personal growth and self-discovery throughout the school year.
Student Councils
The Elementary Student Council stands as a vibrant hub of youthful leadership, creating committees that drive impactful initiatives. From the environmentally conscious pursuits of the Community Garden and environmental initiatives to the celebration of our diverse school community through cultural awareness events, each facet is designed to leave a lasting imprint.
Within this framework, Service Learning and student-led workshops cultivate a culture of service and peer education. Meanwhile, Spirit Week and raising school spirit infuse our school with enthusiasm and unity, and student activities and recognition ensure achievements are acknowledged, fostering ongoing participation.
Open to students in 3rd through 5th grade, this opportunity to represent their class is a chance to develop vital skills. Guided by faculty, these young leaders hone essential attributes like teamwork, public speaking, and problem-solving.
The Middle School Scorpion Council comprises students seeking to get involved with the school at a higher level. It provides an opportunity for students to make a difference while learning how to utilize resources and prioritize tasks when organizing events and fundraisers. The program also builds confidence and promotes community service among peers.
The Scorpion Council is directly involved with assemblies and the planning of events that affect the entire student body. Open to all students interested in exploring leadership opportunities, the council generally meets weekly during lunch.
The Student Council (StuCo) serves as the high school student government, embracing a unique and collaborative structure to grow students’ skills in both leadership and civic engagement. StuCo is dedicated to providing diverse leadership experiences while fostering a sense of community within both the high school and the broader ACS community. Through active planning of in-school events like Spirit Weeks, Pep Rallies, community-building games, and service activities, members contribute to our school community while honing essential leadership skills in a democratic and collaborative setting.
Beyond school grounds, StuCo engages in community outreach programs, collaborating to raise awareness and funds for various non-profit organizations in Jordan. Joining the Student Council not only allows students to contribute positively to the ACS community but also nurtures essential qualities that will undoubtedly build student agency as StuCo members develop into positive changemakers, both at school and beyond.
