Required to receive an ACS diploma

Each semester course at ACS is equal to 0.5 credit (½ Carnegie Unit), awarded at the end of each semester. High school students are required to register for eight (8) credits each school year. Students enrolled in two or more on-campus AP courses may enroll in seven (7) credit courses and one non-credit study hall. Due to the fact that a study hall is an independent time and requires a student to be trusted to use the time wisely, students who have a GPA of 3.0 or lower and/or have a behavioral referral on record will be unable to utilize this option.  Students cannot earn more than four credits per semester.

In order to graduate with an ACS High School Diploma, students are required to have completed four (4) years of high school, including the completion of twelfth grade at ACS.

In addition, students are expected to perform community service annually.  Students submit their hours, and recognition is given at the end-of-year assembly.
