   Our talented elementary students took the stage on Friday, May 4th and wowed the audience with an afternoon of music, dancing and singing.     On Friday, April 20, our ACS community came out to celebrate our annual Celebration of Cultures. This event brings together our community to share in a day filled with entertainment, games, food, fun and laughter. ACS is pleased to present an evening of rock music for the ACS community, put on by middle school and high school students.  The winning band will go on to represent ACS at the citywide battle of the bands.  There are four bands in the competition, plus and opening act and an exhibition performance from the ACS teacher punk rock band.   This event is the culmination of the students' Global Social Entrepreneurship Projects, which encourages students to start their own socially minded...       ACS kicked off the SAISA Track and Field Meet with an opening ceremony at the school's theater where we welcomed 10 schools competing from 6 different countries. The meet will take place over the course of three days at a track field off campus and our athletes will compete in almost 100 different field events and races, showcasing the many months of preparation and hard work they have put in.     On Monday, March 26, 2018 the performing arts classes entertained the ACS community with an evening of creative and inspiring performances. The show included dance, drama, and music and featured performances by a large majority of the middle school student body.     ACS is proud to host the 2nd Compassion Summit, a gathering of 16 schools and dozens of nationalities from Jordan and around the region.        Project Rock Star is new to ACS and has been rocking the school through the first semester with performances at Spooktacular, Pot Luck, and all morning on the last day before winter break. This semester, the students are preparing for the upcoming Battle of the Bands, to be held on Wednesday, April 25th after the Women's March.  The student bands are self-led and coordinated by our High School music teacher, Darren Jahn, as part of the social entrepreneurship program. Students learn...
