On Thursday, January 31, 2019, the PTG hosted their second Bingo Night of the school year and it was another smashing success! The community gathered together for an evening filled with lots of fun and laughter, everyone was a winner! On February 1st , our swim team participated in the first ASL swim meet of the season hosted at the International Academy - Amman (IAA). Our team swam with a lot of heart and performed well, improving in about 50% of the their swims. This was a great opportunity for our swimmers to race the events that they will be participating in at the competition in Greece later this month.

On January 30th, ACS hosted a fantastic talk about Google for Education integration across school systems. ACS Students rocked the house yet again! The second annual ACS Battle of the Bands was held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. It was an entertaining evening with an impressive lineup of talented students (and teachers!). Each band performed 3 songs; an Arabic song, an original piece and a cover song and were judged based on several components from musical talent, team chemistry to original song lyrics. High school students were visited by 38 speakers on Career Day who covered a variety of disciplines including security, technology, education, fashion design, nursing, advertising, psychology, hospitality and many more. A big thank you to our ACS parents, friends, alumni, staff, and Booster Club seniors for all their time and support in making the day such a successful one.

The ACS MS Arts Department put on a spectacular showcase on December 11, 2018 with their exhibition of visual and performing arts titled, "Ubuntu - I am because we are." The stage came to life as groups of middle and high school students wowed the audience with their music, drama and dance performances. Once again, the amazing ACS Parent Teacher Group (PTG) hosted a wonderfully festive Christmas Bazaar. Last Saturday, December 8, 2018, the campus was transformed into a winter wonderland and the community came together to share in a day full of holiday cheer. When nine actors, eight theater technicians, and countless artists and student volunteers put their minds to it, they CAN produce a play about eighty-nine books in under two hours!
