    On Monday, November 6, ACS held a private opening for the Salti Fitness Center that honored the Salti family for their contribution to our school and the international community.       The most anticipated event of the year - Spooktacular - was Friday, Nov. 3rd. Organized by the talented, dedicated Parent Teacher Group, the campus was transformed into spooky town. While live performances by students and teachers entertained families and friends, everyone enjoyed delicious food and drinks. Games and 2 haunted houses were also a huge highlight of the night!         Our ACS athletes traveled abroad to compete in SAISA tournaments across the globe. The U18 girls volleyball team traveled to the Lincoln School in Kathmandu, Nepal to participate in the tournament. The girls played hard and had some great rallies in the volleyball games showing everyone how tough we can be. We couldn't have been more proud of our girls who ended up placing in 6th place.       ACS has identified Wellness as one of the strategic priorities of the school. Wellness at ACS includes exercising the body, mind and soul. On the second weekend in October, ACS held it's first Wellness Expo which started with a day of fitness fun on Friday, October 13th. On September 20, 2017, elementary students participated in our recognition of the International Day of Peace. Each class started the day with a peace circle during their morning meeting. This gave students a chance to share their ideas about what peace means and how they can help create a peaceful world to live in. On Saturday, September 16th, 2017 the ACS PTG hosted an amazing Back to School Picnic for the ACS Community. It was a fantastic afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and delicious food. It was a great opportunity to get together not only to catch up with familiar friends but also meet and mingle with new ACS families. What a great start to the 2017-2018 school year!
